Casagrande is interest in the synthesis, structural characterization and photophysical properties of metal-organic compounds and coordination compounds aiming their application in materials chemistry and bioinorganic chemistry. For this purpose, heterocyclic chemistry is also performed as a strategy to the development of new organic ligands. His interest are also focused on the synthesis and structural characterization of new catalysts based on TiO<sub>2<\/sub>&nbsp;and other transition metals such as Co, Pt, Ni, Fe, aiming their application in photo-catalysis and as new electrocatalysts for the Oxygen Reduction Reaction and Hydrogen liberation.
